County Community Development Corporation (CDC)

Established the County Community Development Corporation (CDC)

Developed County Mitigation Bank

Office of Small Business Opportunity (OSBO)

Created the Office of Small Business Opportunity (OSBO) to help small

businesses in Richland County, with certifications, bonding, training and

contract opportunities, etc.

Developed County Mitigation Bank

Garners Ferry Adult Activity Center

Built the Garners Ferry Adult Activity Center through the Recreation

Bond

Pinewood Lake Park

Design and built Pinewood Lake Park through Hospitality Tax Funds

Four Mini Parks in Lower Richland 

Developed four Mini Parks in our community, Green Lakes, Pineview,

Horrell Hill and a Water Park/Splash Pad across from Pinewood Lake

Park. (through the Recreation Bond, stopped by current Council person)

Shop Road Extension

Designed Shop Road Extension. Had phase one built. Implemented by

former representative Jimmy Bales.

Multipurpose Facility (18,000sf)

Developed a Multipurpose Facility (18,000sf) next to Pinewood Lake

Park. (to be built)

Multipurpose sidewalk

Design and built the multipurpose sidewalk from Lower Richland Blvd.

To Rabbit Run Road and the Garners Ferry Road Extension as an

alternative route to access the Sports Complex and the Adult Activity

Center

Additional forty (40) acres for an Aquatic Center

Acquired an additional forty (40) acres for an Aquatic Center next to the

Garners Ferry Adult Activity Center

FUNDING FOR SENIORS AT ADULT ACTIVITY CENTER

Secured $50,000 annually for Seniors Activity at the Adult Activity

Center (removed by current Council member)

SUPPORTED JUMPS

Supported the (JUMPS) afterschool Program. (removed by current

Council member)

SECURED 87 ACRES FOR A HOSPITAL

Secured 87 acres for a Hospital on Lower Richland Blvd. Garners

Ferry Road. (Removed and returned to the donor by current Council

member. Donor now building 586 housed on the property)

SECURED LIBRARY

Secured the library across from Lower Richland High School and

increased the capacity of the Southeast Library

ALL AT PINEWOOD PARK

Designed Ampere theater, one and one quarter mile Walking trail,

Skating rink, Historic Museum, Community Garden, two Covered

Fishing Piers and Cleaning Stations

BROADCASTING

Responsible for broadcasting Council Meetings
